Terra Mitica is a theme park in Benidorm offering a magical journey through all the different cultures of the Mediterranean. The Park is divided into five areas which are inspired by the five civilisations of the Mediterranean: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and the islands.
As you enter the park you will enter into the ancient Greek section, which is themed to reflect the Greek Golden Age and features famous Greek legends. The Rome area is set to show the height of the Roman Empire so that visitors can experience the Roman Empire at its most powerful point and enjoy the long lasting legacy that it left behind. The Iberian area presents all the wonders of Spain and Portugal and celebrates the Peninsular in which the park is situated. Finally you will enter the islands section, which is mainly full of water rides and for exploring the islands without leaving the mainland.
Terra Mitica has 25 rides spread out around all the different areas, many of which are not for the faint hearted! The five areas have rides to suit everybody, top of the list are the adrenaline pumping high speed white knuckle rides such as The Flight of the Phoenix and Inferno. There are also family friendly rides to enjoy including Argos Rapids and The Battle of the Pyramid which is an indoor paintball game and for the younger children there are carousel's and a boat ride.
There are several performances in each area daily showing the splendour of the five ancient civilisations with acrobats, circus artists, athletes and stuntmen who all create a thrilling experience filled with colour, action and excitement.
To get to Terra Mitica there are several options, one of the best for holiday makers would be to go by coach, there are several coach companies providing day trips to Terra Mitica. If you are driving from the Playa Flamenca area the roads to take are the N-332 or t he AP-7, follow the signs to Alicante and then to Valencia/Benidorm, once you arrive at Benidorm Terra Mitica will be sign posted.
